Honestly it was a great show i actually went back and watched it and it still pretty good but i think the reason for it ending was because Nickelodeon started to really make things a bit more kid friendly. Idk maybe they thought it was kid friendly. Still it great art. Plus watching the movie on Netflix really is what made me revisit the series

Same dude!! Ive also been going back and rewatching episodes and it still holds up!! With it being cancelled, Jhonen hasnt fully confirmed any theories but I think its mostly due to the cost to make the show and maybe a lack of creative freedom, i dont think ratings were an issue as it was super fucking popular back in 2002
